Reconnaissance with Charlotte

Charlotte will be guiding about a dozen holidays for Walk Inn this year, and so yesterday we hit the trails to scout some of the walks. Here we are in the hills above the village of Suzette: a wild landscape of brush on jagged limestone:

After many winter months without any snow on Mont Ventoux, we had to wait for the month of April for this sprinkling near the summit. In a day or so it will melt.

Entering the village of Séguret by its medieval gate:

The budding vines in Gigondas: Spring is definitely here!
